Ship to Gaza

The initiative “Ship to Gaza”-member of the inernational “Freedom Flotilla II Coalition”- created in 2009, is fighting for the lifting of the blockade of Gaza. Τhey support the right of the Palestinian people to live in liberty in their homeland and to resistance in all its forms in order to liberate their country from the Israeli occupation. Almost a year ago, on May 31, 2010, the Israeli special naval forces attacked in the multinational flotilla “Freedom Flotilla”, killed 9 persons, wounded heavily others, leaded afterwards the arrested to Israeli prisons. The fleet of Freedom II will sail to the Gaza Strip, carrying aids and supplies the third week of June, with boats that will leave from various European harbours.

The Forum of Immigrants in Crete (FMC) is a collective set up in February 2007 in Hania,Crete, to allow for the collective voicing of immigration-related issues and the public representation of immigrants.  Its mission is to address the problems of immigrants on both individual and group basis, to defend immigrants’ rights and promote their opinions, proposals and demands in public debates.

FMC is a voice of individual immigrants, immigrant associations and Greeks in solidarity with them acting together against racism, xenophobia and discrimination.
